The Spa at The Resort at Pelican Hill

Here at the Traveler Confidential, we’ve visited a number of premier spas all over the world. After a while, 5-star treatments and amenities can become the norm. But, one spa in Orange County, California stands out. The Spa at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast is simply put, divine.

The award-winning spa is 23,000-square-feet with 22 private treatment rooms. And it’s 28-foot high Palladian rotunda is a jaw dropper. It has steam rooms, saunas, a full-service hair salon, and a fitness center. The Spa sits off to the left, adjacent to the Newport Beach hotel.

What puts this spa at the top is the staff’s attention to detail and their ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. From the way guests are greeted to the amount of time the staff spends finding out exactly what you want out of your service to the way they follow up post-treatment; it’s truly an out-of-this-world experience.

We’ve experienced the deep tissue massage and the reflexology massage a number of times. Both are favorites because of the amount of time carefully given to every part of your body by top-notch masseuses. An hour-long massage leaves you feeling like you have taken a mini vacation to a remote island. It not only heals the body but also removes the stress and fog from your mind. The list of services is also impressive. The Spa offers a “Babymoon Retreat for Two” package, which includes a massage for two, a bath for two, and private yoga for two. The “Red Carpet Radiance” package caters to a group of four to six people for two hours. The group is pampered with facials, manicures, shampoos and styles, all while being served with Prosecco. They also offer an extensive list of body, face, hand, and foot treatments for individuals.

Southern California offers many first class hotels with out-of-this-world experiences, and the Spa at Pelican Hill is one you definitely shouldn’t miss.
