Head to Scandinavia! The happiest people on the planet live there. That’s according to the most recent World Happiness Report.
Finland earned the top spot as the happiest country in the world, while the U.S. ranked 18th on the recent list of the World Happiness Report. The study looked at 156 countries and ranked them according to their happiness levels. Back in 2012 and 2013, Denmark topped the list of the annual report. In fact, seven European countries round off the top 10 list of the happiest countries in the world.
In addition to a number of other things assessed before deciding on their rankings, people were asked to evaluate the quality of their current lives on a scale of zero to 10 in each country. Some governments and organizations look to this research to implement better policies to help improve the lives of their residents.
It’s worth noting that some countries that leaned toward a more stable economy and political system tended to rank higher on the list.
