It seems like new travel websites and apps crowd the market every day. Some make a lasting impression with tech-savvy travelers, while others barely register.
But, two relatively new sites are disrupting the travel landscape and getting the attention of vacationers everywhere. The travel websites, WhereFor.com and Rove.me, let travelers choose their trips based on unique parameters.
Since many people choose their vacations based on their budgets, WhereFor.com has taken this into account. Its website lets you put in exactly how much you want to spend on your entire trip. Then, you plug in the dates you want to travel, your departing location, and the number of people traveling with you. From there, a world map pops up on the screen and lists many destinations that fit your price. Click on your country of interest and both hotel and airfare price options appear that meet your budget. This is great for people open to traveling anywhere in the world as long as the price is right. It even saves you time by doing the research on individual destinations all at once.
WhereFor even ups the ante by giving travelers a 24-hour refund policy and the ability to finance their trip at zero percent for 12 months. This one is a true game changer that might just be around for a while.
And, then there’s Rove.me. Rove takes another approach. It wants visitors to not only take cost into consideration, but also the right time of the year to visit locations. The website suggests the best time to visit any destination in the world. It takes into account what major events and activities are happening in a particular country and city each month. You can pick any of the seven continents and then click on a country. For instance, if you click on Europe and Croatia, it shows you a map with a graph line. That graph line goes up or down every month depending on what is happening in that particular locale. Rove decides the right time to visit a city based on the weather, major events and activities happening, the size of crowds, and nature and then displays those results in a graph line that either goes up or down. This site comes in handy if you already know the country you want to visit and want to make sure you go at the best possible time of the year.
