A SUITCASE THAT CHARGES YOUR PHONE AND SAVES YOU MONEY?
Smart technology continues to amaze us. Take this, for example. There’s new luggage that lets you know if your suitcase is overweight, charges your smartphone, tells you if TSA lines are long, and alerts you when your bag is on the carousel. Sound like something from the 1960s TV series “Get Smart,” right? Well, this one is real. It’s a new suitcase from the startup luggage brand, Raden.
The company first unveiled its new product to CNN Money this week. The 22-inch carry-on bag will set you back $295. It’s made out of durable Makrolon® polycarbonate and weighs a little more than seven pounds. It also has a removable compact battery. And, because it lets you know how much your suitcase weighs before you leave home, it saves you money by not having to pay airline fees for overweight luggage. There’s even a Raden app with all those functions, plus the ability to request an Uber.
Order online, or if you’re in New York City, check out its upcoming store opening in SoHo.
